What should I wear?

Most of our patient attend with sport gear on.  Gowns are available for our patients if you need to disrobe, we do have gowns available.

How long will my first session take?

We usually allocate up to one hour for your initial your initial Consultation.  However most sessions wrap up between 45 minutes and an hour.

Will I get treated?

We allocate extra time for your initial consultation so that you have enough time for your practitioner to completely understand your needs, collaborate with you to form a plan so that you are at your best in the shortest time possible, and commence treatment.

What does treatment involve?

Your practitioner will compile a treatment best suited to your needs and may include soft tissue massage, adjustments, dry needling, cupping, as well as showing you home exercises and mobility drills so that you can help manage your symptoms and prolong the benefit of treatment. 

Should I bring my x-rays or scans?

Yes please the more information we have on hand the better. This will help us make an accurate diagnosis, and an even better tailored treatment plan for you.

Can I claim on the spot?

Yes, we have the HICAPS machines where we can process your health fund, so that you only need to pay the gap.

How early should I get to my appointment?

We recommend that you arrive at your session 5 minutes early.  That way we can can take you in on time.  We do our best to stay on time with our schedule, you arriving on time helps us do this.

If I need to reschedule my appointment how much notice do I need?

You will achieve your best outcome if you stick to the treatment plan that you and your practitioner created at your initial appointment.  If you need to change an appointment we ask that you give us as much notice as possible, and no less that 24 hours.

How long will it take for me to feel better?

This is a tricky one. For most presentations you will likely notice an improvement after the initial 3-4 sessions. However more chronic conditions like arthritis, or disc bulges may be slower to respond, where its weeks or even months for your condition to settle down.

When/how often should I do my exercise?

Your Practitioner will guide your home-based exercise regime, however a general rule of thumb is a little more often will help you body adapt better and cope with the new load. So once a day is good, 2 x daily is generally better.
